Panamanian companies that would like to issue electronic invoices, will be able to do so starting on March 2019, as announced by the General Direction of Revenue in Panama, with the Resolution No 201-5784. There are 43 companies that issue them since September 2018, that were part of the pilot project.

This project has been developed since 2016, we’re now at the generalization stage and it’s calculated that it’s use can represent savings between 30% and 75% of printing, storage and distribution costs, as well as accounting costs. The productivity increases by 84% according to the General Direction of Revenue in Panama.

For clients, the biggest benefit is the possibility of having better digital control, efficient management of documents and the ecological impact it represents when the paper use decreases.
